Having a helluva time trying to find a way to purchase 7/22 Tigers tickets prior to my arrival. As these are one of the more popular team/rivalry I want tickets in advance and don't want to get that huge fee that JapanBall does with ticket purchases.

Tigers website isnt easy to navigate(japanese) and I heard you have to register and provide Japan address...if this is just a formality and can still be receive E-ticket I am fine.

Yes, Hanshin Tigers and Yomiuri Giants games are popular games. Although July 22 is weekday, Japanese school’s summer vacation starts from July 20 (technically July 21 since Monday, July 21 is a holiday) it is likely July 22 games will be popular one at Koshien ball park.

I never tried to buy Japanese baseball game tickets from outside of Japan, so I do not know how difficult it will be using non-Japanese bank issued credit cards from outside of Japan.

However, I do not know if you are aware but tickets for July 22 game will not go on sale till April 23. The sale will start on the internet and phone lines starting April 23 and ticket sales at box offices will start on April 25 for July 22 game.

There will be some ticket sales sites which will accept reservation for tickets for July 22 game prior to April 23. But that will be only request and actual ticket will not be guranteed till April 23.

assuming you can even buy tickets with a non Japanese CC, or having a person buy tickets from Japan for you (this is what I fortunately have been able to do), i think the giants are the only team to have a online site to buy tickets for their home games in english. at least when i was looking back in June.

now that has come a long way too in the last few years as has the ability to buy sumo tickets.

there is a person that you can contact that charges you a fee for baseball tickets but I have found the fee more than it should be but you can decide.

this is the person i was talking about but i have never used them but know people who have.

Yes, I'm afraid tickets are hard to purchase for Koshien Stadium unless you have someone helping you or you can read Japanese. I am willing to help you but can't promise successful results.

As a fan club member, I am also eligible to enter an advanced "lottery" for tickets -- one that will not require me to be first in line on April 23 or whatever day tickets go on sale. If I win that lottery I can buy up to 10 tickets before anyone else who is lining up the old fashioned way.

I might try to get 10 tix and then sell the ones I don't need. No big profit, no $59 fee... but let's see what happens. I won't find out until sometime in April myself. Stay in touch.
