Gaijin think Japanese are...

“How to improve Japan” is going strong… This is about what Japanese think what you think about Japanese people…

Research/survey company i-Research conducted a survey among Japanese people asking what is misunderstood or stereotype about Japanese people by Gaijinn (外人, non-Japanese). Top ten answers were:

10. Japanese live in a house with shoji screen and tatami.
9. Japanese are highly proficient in high tech items: smart phones, computers, etc.
8. Japanese love Anime and Manga.
7. Japanese wear Wafuku (kimono) all the time.
6. Japanese like to stand in line in orderly manner.
5. Japanese eat sushi and tempura all the time.
4. Japanese like to do things as a group.
3. Japanese men wear Chonmage hairstyle (samurai knot hairstyle).
2. Japanese are industrious and like to work.
1. Japanese men live with soul of Samurai (philosophy).

This is what Japanese think what you think about Japanese.
