Kobe beef in Osaka or Kobe

Any restaurant recommendations? Is it better to hop on the train to Kobe for either quality or price or can I get something just as good in osaka.

Go to Steak Ron in Osaka.

Best example of Kobe beef however make sure that you have plenty of room on your credit card because it is plenty expensive.

There are lots of places you can get Kobe beef in Osaka. Many places will have wagyu which is just as good but it doesn't have the "brand" name cache.

I know Kobe wagyu is world famous but also try Matsusaka.
Of the 4 I tasted (Imari,Kobe,Matsusaka,non-branded wagyu) it was my 2nd favorite. Imari was my favorite

And a good restaurant in Osaka for non-branded wagyu (I don't recall having branded- please correct me):
Matasaburo

The st regis is 18000 for a 4 course prix fixe incl a main of Kobe. Seems like a reasonable deal, but am I better off at an independent restaurant?

I went to Steak Ron based on FT recommendations. We had extras and dinner was about $400 for two. It was fantastic.
