Apologies - the feed appears to have frozen in the last few seconds. And now it's going offline as I type. I hope it comes back soon.

NHK World
NHK World has an iPhone app that broadcasts in English as well. Normally it's prerecorded programming but it was streaming live in English this morning.

It’ll be light in Japan fairly soon, so we may get a better idea of how bad it all is from now on."
If anyone has any other leads I'd be very grateful.

I can't help but suspect that a major player in his grim supporting cast is yet to make their own devastating appearance

NHK-GTV streaming is currently off air. According to the notice on the site it will be on air at the following times during the weekend:

Saturday 19.03.11
18:00-20:00 JST
20:45-23-00 JST

Sunday 20.03.11

SDF sprays water into No.3 reactor
(The footage shows the spraying of water from the ground. It's supposed to be part of a 7 minute video shot by a member of a special unit of the Ground Self-Defense Force and also shows the situation around the No.3 reactor. But I haven't been able to find the full version of the 7 minute video.)
