Winter Sale Fares on JAL (January, 2007)
These fares aren't quite mileage run quality, but if you were thinking about a vacation anyway then they might help you get an early start to boosting your JMB account. These fares appear to be X booking class (70% mileage earning). All fares are from Tokyo Narita, and with most fares you can stay 0 nights to a couple weeks or more. You may be able to get lower fares by booking through JAL's Japanese language Web site (http://www.jal.co.jp).
Bangkok: Depart January 21 through 24: $402 round trip
Guam: Depart in January (many dates): $398 round trip
Guangzhou: Depart most Mondays-Thursdays starting January 17: $488 round trip
Hong Kong: Depart January 21 through 31: $398 round trip
Singapore: Depart January 30 or 31: $433 round trip
Taipei: Depart January 22-25 or 28-31: $369 round trip
It looks like JAL also has the lowest fares ex-Tokyo to other Asia-Pacific cities, including Brisbane, Sydney, Manila, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Jakarta, Bali (DPS), Shanghai, Beijing, and Kuala Lumpur. The European cities also look like pretty good deals for several days in January (around $700 to $800 round trip).
