Booked in Y able to select J seat assignment

Booked in Y able to select J seat assignment
Traveling on JL869 on Feb 18th. This is part of a ORD-NRT-PEK trip with AA on the leg to NRT all booked in coach (O fare). When I went into JAL.com today to online check-in, I was able to select seats in what appears to be the smaller aft J class cabin. They came up in the seat map for economy (note that the larger forward J cabin didn't show). I managed to grab 8HK. Is this just JL offering the J seats with Y service or am I at risk of being bounced from these seats when we get to NRT?
