CTS Airport Transfer
We have a JL3040 flight CTS-NRT at 07.45. I'm unable to find a good non-taxi airport transfer option that will get us to CTS for the early departure. Would anyone have suggestions? Thanks.

Take JR train. I did that last time from JR Sapporo. Arrived with plenty of time to spare.

Get to CTS from where? From Sapporo station, the first trains to the airport depart at 6:00 (regular train) and 6:15 (express with reserved seats) and both arrive around 6:50, which should give ample time to check luggage and make your flight. The earliest airport bus (5:30) also arrives before 7am.

I live in Sapporo and take the 7:40 to NRT pretty regularly. Never had trouble taking it from the trains using either the 6:00am or the 6:15. Get to the platform early if you want a seat.
There are also some buses that go from Susukino (http://bus.ekitan.com/kuko/Kp20?t=0&k=15&w=1&b=829) but I don't think you'll find info on that in English. It's marginally cheaper, but it takes longer.

If that's the options we'll try. But for people that usually arrive at airports 3 hours before their flights, arriving 45 minutes before takeoff seems crazy.
Our hotel, Toyoko Inn Hokkaido Sapporo Susukino Minami, is near Hosui Susukino Station.
Thanks.
Maybe an airport hotel is a better option. Any suggestions in Toyoko Inn price ranges?

Japanese domestic connections, id say arriving 3 hrs in advance is crazy all you need is 30 minutes. Security will be a breeze.

For the bus from susukino, it takes ~ 70 minute to go to Sapporo http://www.chuo-bus.co.jp/highway/ai...c=2520&trjs=19
I would recommend to do JR instead

Pro tip: the Airport Rapid trains heading to the airport and ending in a 2 from 92 to 192 (e.g. #102) and 200 are operated using limited express trainsets coming from Asahikawa, so the seats are a bit nicer than the usual rapid train sets. (Trains ending in a 3 from 103 to 203 heading to Sapporo are the same.)

with the exception if you are connecting to an international flight which I recall you have to give 10 minute more leeway for the longer time required for check-in.
