JAL to rollout JAL SKY SUITE 787 (SS8) in FY2014
JAL has announced the plan to install JAL SKY SUITE seats on 787 in FY2014 ending in March 2015 in its medium term management plan: http://press.jal.co.jp/en/release/201403/002864.html.
The Japanese version only states SKY SUITE while the English version uses "JAL SKY SUITE". So it is still unclear whether the ones on 777-300ER, 767-300ER, or a new one will be used.

Schedule will be announced later. But JFK and other long-haul should be the top of the list. New deliveries this year should have the new seats

SS6 is just a little bit narrow. I like the fact that it's a full-flat product, but combined with the smallness of the 767, doesn't lend for a very comfortable flight. The 787's benefits are not necessarily tangible (like the bars, etc. on the A380 are), but the improved air quality and humidity levels on board were apparent. Combine that with the more spacious cabin and I'd choose it over SS6.
If I had the choice of SS6 vs Neo onboard the 763? I'd probably go with SS6
Still, it's never a bad thing when a carrier decides to install full-flat seats. Let's hope they don't make a mistake with the width, as they did with SS6. Admittedly, SKYRECLINER on the 767 was never a really wide seat to begin with, so I have confidence that SS8 will be a big improvement (as SS6 was over Skyrecliner).

Now the big questions are:
1. Will these planes have premium economy?
2. What will economy class be like? 2-4-2 or 3-3-3? Will they use the new "Sky Wider" product with 34 inches of pitch?
