1. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. NGO-HNL is booked in business class, but HND-NGO is in economy. Will we still get the baggage allowance as if we're flying business class the whole way?
2. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. Will we have lounge access in HND?

Hi. I'm flying outside of The Americas for the first time and checking luggage for just the second time (first was domestic), so I have a bunch of newb questions for anyone gracious enough to help. Thanks in advance.
Route is:
ORF-DFW-NRT-MNL
MNL-NRT(PM arrival w/ overnight stay in hotel until AM connection)-DFW-ORF
On the outbound itinerary:
1. Will I have to collect and re-check my baggage in NRT?
2. Will I have to go through security in NRT?
3. Will I have to go through customs in NRT?
On the inbound itinerary:
4. Will I have to collect and re-check my baggage in NRT heading into my overnight stay?
5. If I don't HAVE TO collect my baggage, CAN I, if that's my preference?

I tried to search for an answer first, but couldn't find it.
If I book an Emirates flight through JMB on business class (due to insufficient miles currently), would I be able to pay the difference in miles to upgrade to first class later? (Given that there are award seats available on the same flight, of course.) Is there a change fee for this?
Thank you.

As long as it's all been booked on one ticket, AA? in ORF will check through to MNL. There is no reason to go through immigration/customs in NRT. There is an international connections security check.
4. Yes
Since you are overnighting in NRT on the return, you'll need to go through immigration, collect bags and clear customs.

I assume OP meant outbound in his first set of questions otherwise your answers won't make sense

for "oneworld YOKOSO/Visit TOHOKU Fare", does the Fares category belong to Fares 1(100%) with JMB just as the normal oneworld Yokoso / Visit Japan Fare?
Can I buy 5 sets of tohoku and 5 sets of visit japan fare in one visit to japan? thanks.

I suggest escalating to the supervisor in Japan from the start. The LAX office has no power in deciding anything and the agents in Japan just asks you to wait.
