Just to kick start a wiki, with answers to frequent questions.
1. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. NGO-HNL is booked in business class, but HND-NGO is in economy. Will we still get the baggage allowance as if we're flying business class the whole way?
A: Yes. written here (link)
2. We're flying HND-NGO-HNL. Will we have lounge access in HND?
A. Definitely, within the lounge access rules of course. written here (link)

New menu cover in F

JAL has introduced a new menu cover in F. It contained food and drink menus, the WiFi voucher, landing card, fast track card, and the inflight shopping pamflet.

Nice touch.

It's not new. It's more like they re-introduce this cover. They had this back in the old JAL Suite days: http://www.jalflyer.com/2013/06/JAL-F-Amenities.html

So I'm flying JFK-SFO-HND on one ticket, and as it turns out,I have enough mileage on AAdvantage to request an upgrade between JFK and SFO. I booked thru priceline, so I have both JL and AA confirmation codes for the itinerary.
The itinerary's listed with my JMB number right now, and it shows up in the JAL webpage, but not AA.

My question is: if I call AA to request an upgrade (or at least be on standby), would that take my whole itinerary off JMB, and will put it under AA?

Thank you...this forum's been very helpful whenever I had questions...

Yes, you should be using the [Awards/JL-OneWorld] Method in the KVS Tool, where CS Availability corresponds to JL Business Class Awards.

How long does flight credits post to JL account?

I took a couple of AA/JL flights since Thursday and haven't seen any activity in my account yet as of Sunday.

I see, odd that the first test AA segment I credited to JL was posted overnight so I thought they are very quick normally.

JL seems to get data once or twice a week from AA, so it depends how your flight is timed in relation to the cut off for data transfer.

All my flight segments posted today, I guess there's that cut off time once a week or so.

If you redeem miles for JAL e-Points and use e-Points to book, does that affect mileage and FOP earning?

Trying to go for Sapphire status this year and then JGC after that. Would be nice to use the e-Points to get a free or discounted ticket that still earns FOP and miles, or perhaps buying up to a full-fare Premium Economy ticket.

I have one reservation that expires tomorrow.
My reservation is "M" class. Now available seats are Y - 9, B - 5, H - 4, K - 3.

If I release my reservation, M will be available again or K will have 4 seats?

Thank you in advance.

It could remain the same too if there are people on the waitlist for M class.

Every 1 eJAL Point can be used as 1JPY.
You will earn full fop points, but you should mind any amount paid by eJAL Points will not be refunded.

Thank you for commenting on this.

I succeeded getting ticketed until it expires.

JL offers very limited capacity between TPE <-> TYO.

Because of Lunar New Year. (Chinese New Year)
Not limited, already sold out.
You hopefully grab free upgrade if you purchased such higher Y fare in this season.
