Advice on trip to SIN, NRT(?) on AA/JL

I'm making a trip to SIN over the Labor Day weekend 9/5-9/8 from BOS on AA/JL in Y. Here are the details:

9/5:
BOS-JFK-NRT on AA. I can get up to 4.5 hrs layover in JFK (to try out as many different OW lounges as I can, if possible). The layover in NRT is about 4 hours.

9/6:
NRT-SIN on JL. This appears to be a 773 (Version 2 on SeatGuru). SeatGuru has no feedback on what seats are good, or what the meal service is like. I am a complete noob to JL. This question might be better asked on the JL forum?

9/8: Trip in reverse as SIN-NRT-DFW-BOS. Layover in NRT is only 1:45 this time. Layover in DFW is over 3.5 hrs.

What can I expect from JL as an OW elite travelling in Y? Any chance of an upgrade on this (NRT-SIN-NRT) route? What can I do during the layover in DFW? I assume I wouldn't be able to get into the lounge. Is it worth trying?

I get to SIN at midnight on 9/6 (so really 9/7), but that's noon in BOS. Is SIN a safe city to go explore at night?

JFK has a lot of OW lounges, but the OW airlines are in different terminals from AA. Is it possible to use the lounges in other terminals (clear security)?

So I have a 4.5 hr layover in NRT on the outbound. Any chance I could go to the city for a quick stroll-around or something?

I'm travelling by myself, so if any FTers will be in any of these airports during the times I'm there and needs lounge access, I should be able to guest one person in.

I assume you have elite status with AA that allows lounge access. Why do you not think you would be able to access the AA lounges at DFW? The restriction on using domestic lounges does not apply if you are connecting from an international flight.

Yes. You could even try out some of the late night hawker stalls.

I suspect you have to have a valid boarding pass for the appropriate terminal to get past security.

Not Tokyo as it is a minimum 70 min bus ride from Narita and often longer.
