It is a fairly widespread strike, including trains (9 am to 5 pm), bus lines in/around Rome (c. 9 to 5) and some airline personnel. The latter seems to be limited to Alitalia (10 to 6) and Eurofly (24 hrs) and one other group at Pisa Airport.

If you flying in/out of Pisa on the 17th, you would be well served to contact your airline. Some flights will operate, others will not.

Thanks, my carrier is reporting everything is fine, but the website that lists which flights are guaranteed does not list mine. i have a feeling it is going to be a last minute situation.
