VRBO rentals

We are a group of 5, 3 ladies in 60s and younger couple (family)
Thinking of renting apartments in Rome Venice and Florence for about 3 nights each
Looking to rent in central historical areas, did brief search and look like very nice 3 bedroom 2 baths for very good price compared to hotels

Anyone have experience with this type of rental?

There is a new Forum on Flyertalk which addresses VRBO Rentals. You might want to take a look: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/non-h...rbnb-vrbo-757/

It's not clear if you are asking whether or not home sharing in Italy is a good thing in general, or if you are asking about the location of the VRBO's you plan to rent. Information that could be important include the location of the property, the time of the year, how much you are paying, and so on. Location is (almost) everything. Please provide more information.
