I think I need to retract my rec for Naumachia, just because I'm hearing now that it's pretty much become a tourist trap. I'll probably go just because I know the folks, but I'm not sure that I'd recommend it over throwing darts to anyone else.

Thanks for all the awesome advice regarding restaurants. I will be sure to check out a few of the mentions here. Thinking about it already makes me hungry ...
Just wanted to update that in the end, I went with Albergo del Senato next to the Pantheon. I was deciding between this hotel and the St. Regis, but in the end convenience won over. I hope it will be a good stay.
