The lowest redemption level is 15,000 from this year (looks like))
Sadly it seems redemption category 10,000 is quietly disappeared from the latest member brochures....
The latest redemption censor will be published on my website in late July. Lots of changes. Hopefully by then I can confirm whether the 10,000 redemption category disappeared completely or not.

There are several hotels at 10k, and just as I pointed out before they have even lowered some from 15k to 10k
so I don't see a change at all...
Just as an example within a 100miles radius of NYC you have the following HI and HIX
I'm sure someone from Sydney, Australia would be delighted to receive an
e-mail on monday saying that they can stay at IC London, England friday and saturday the same week for only 20k
Unless there's something we don't know Last Minute Rewards will only be useful for those who live close to the property and can get to it easily.
For others it will just be annoying.
Just the same as they look forward to the points sweepstakes they cannot enter . Sydney is like Melbourne and Brisbane in that there are likely to be hotels that are empty and some that are full within driving distance, given the mix of markets they cater for and location with 9 hotels in two hours drive, so its a good enhancement although not great if it does come at the expense of pointsbreaks.
We certainly are enjoying the current pointsbreak opportunities that require at least an 8 hour plane flight:

Sure, but then the problem with many PB hotels is that they are in the middle of nowhere. Only people on FT would plan a vacation around being able to get to Panama City in the next two months just to stay at PB IC. I'm sure loss of PB would be a blow to some (including you).
But for those of us that plan vacations around where they want to go and then book hotels, but can fit in an occasional weekend trip nearby to a cheap hotel, it's at least a sideways movement (depending on how it's implemented).

In addition, I will predict that these same properties will be available as POINT BREAK redemptions in May/June 2011.

seems like all properties can be booked for 5k from 28 Feb 2012 until 30 April.Things might have calmed down in Egypt a year from now, CP PORT GHALIBl looks nice.
Very Interesting !
It seems this somewhat rare but previously-known glitch is back.
It never went away. It's just the way they work. Due to the booking window, though, it only works if properties stay on the list for significant periods of time. If they fall off within a week or two, it does no good.
Thank you for your personal attack. It is not very nice of you.
The theory is not mine. If you do have the latest Ambassador pack, please do have a look at page 7 under the Redeem Info. The 10,000 category is removed and only leave 15,000 and 25,000 level for Holiday Inn brand. The version number of the brochure is AZ2MGG. It has been distributed to members from earlier this year in January. The previous version AM9MGP has the Holiday Inn redemption for three levels.
Surely at this moment there are properties for 10,000 around. Some of them are old properties without brand conversion. The list can be found in my website http://www.chonetsao.co.uk/ihg1015k.html
The question is, when IHG will make it official that 10,000 will be no longer exist if the brochure information is the first step to wipe out 10,000 level.

The brochure that arrived with my pack TODAY is version AXXMGP.
The "redeem" page avoids mentioning any number levels at all !
It DOES describe Pointbreaks Reward Nights as 50% OFF.

just a few examples, you have listed 4 HI/HIX in Connectcut
I however see 9 now:
Hartford Downtown CT
BRIDGEPORT-TRUMBULL-FAIRFIELD CT
DANBURY-BETHEL @ I-84 CT
WATERBURY CT
MERIDEN CT
VERNON - MANCHESTER CT
EAST WINDSOR CT
BRATTLEBORO Ct
MIDDLEBORO RAYNHAM
In the UK DONCASTER and LIVERPOOL-KNOWSLEY M57, JCT.4 are obviously 15k now,
but on the other hand they have reduced Heathrow T5 and Burnley to 10k. Those are both new/just refurbished
