Worlds most expensive hotel Internet - Holiday Inn Express

I've been around, and paid for internet at hundreds of hotels. But I think I found the high price champion. The HIX Pretoria charges 240 rand for each 4 hours. If you wanted it for 24 hours, that would cost around US$210.

Can anyone beat that?

Oh, as a PC Platinum member they gave me a 30 minute free voucher.

I simply don't use the internet connection if a hotel charges me for it.

I can live with it and I have my BB for essential emailing.

no 24-hour price?

USD$200+ is just too pricey for internet...heck USD$25 is too pricey (but expensable , but definitely not $200)...

I can't. But I'd certainly make sure that I logged off.

Internet is free at virtually all North American hotels other than IC's.

Surprising that it takes so long to get with the agenda.

That's a bloody disgrace!

Please, please, please write a note to the manager telling him/her that you are advertising their prices as the world's most expensive on internet forums and to date no one has been able to refute that. Copy PC and anyone else who might care. (OK, that's limits the scope, I'll admit.) Hopefully you can shame them into getting real.
