You will just have to renew at the earlier price of US$100.

Everyone that has a Royal Ambassador share certificate with the $150 amount on it should be granted that price instead of the new $200 fee. This was a one time exception that was granted towards the person that redeemed my certificate. Make sure you ask.^

Hello dudes,

So is there a way to buy AMD membership online for the 32,000 points, or is by telephone the only way to do it?

I went online and used the points option to buy Ambassador, I got the confirmation email stating that it might take 72 hours for the process to be complete. That was 3 weeks ago. I am still waiting for the transaction to complete. My first stay at an IC is not until October, so I am still trying to decide if I want it.

Have the points been deducted from your account yet? If not, maybe the whole transaction went south

Somehow you missed the second email where they asked you to confirm your decision to get Ambassador status. They want to make sure you know all its limitations.

I just received an email to renew amb for $100 is this the norm now as long as you renew before end of your year( eg 31st oct)
Mr T is RA so i dont really need it except for the 5k and the bogo
but i suppose thats worth $100
what do you think?

The renewal rate is $100 or 20K points. There is a grace period (a few months) to get the renewal price instead of new member price after the membership expires.

I think it's worth it. I renewed with points the last time. 20K-2K Visa Select redemption rebate-5K certificate=13K points for BOGO and Ambassador benefits.

With the 5k points swapped for another BOGO you can get way more value then $100. Hardly any night at an IC can be had for 50 bucks.

I'm not sure that it has been posted already or not.

When I tried to renew my Ambassador membership, besides USD100 and 20K PC points options, 2 new choices there:

- Renew for $150 and receive 15,000 bonus points
- Renew for $200 and receive 15,000 bonus points plus a 10% points rebate on Reward Nights

* Maximum number of points to be rebated not to exceed 100K points in a calendar year

USD50 for 10K points are better than C+P (USD60) and seems count for status.

I wonder if you have a PC Visa card, is that 10% points rebate above on top of the 10% you get for having the card?
