My recent 5 paid / 3 reward night stay at HI East Taipei
Pretty good stay at the HI East Taipei last week resulted in the following:

I've got 3 additional nights booked next week and some local HI stays in June which might for the first time in a long time, get me my stay XX, 10,000 pts unless I'm inelgible by virtue of the above stay 3, get 5,000

Hmmm .... weren't there some people last quarter who swore that they had got the '2 brands' 10k but had only done award stays?
For the standard 'stay x nights, get 10k' they DO need to be paid. But the 2 brands one ....?

I had signed up for the stay at two hotels get 10k points in Q1. As it turned out I only have had one paid night at an ICG hotel this quarter but I did have an award stay at a different ICG hotel back in January. I had been planning on doing a matress run next weekend to get the 10k points but when I checked my account yesterday, I noticed that I had already received the 10k points!
Now I am trying to decide whether to cancel the MR or whether I should do it anyway in case they take away the 10k due to one stay being an award stay. I think I saw one other person post a similar experience. Has anyone else gotten credit for an award stay on this promotion?

I can confirm that I have got 10K for two hotels (not brands) in Q1 after 1 paid and 1 award stay. Whether it is an exception or not - no idea. Also, I have some points posted on my non-qualif stay for food,etc.

Mine took 7 days and did not post. I called the priority club number and got the points posted immediately (after a 20 minute hold while CSR checked on my stay).
Worth the wait recieved 12,000 points for one night at a Candlewood Suites.

is there a thread or section within this entire thread that summarizes way to earn points without stepping foot on the property (or cc)? like the mcr points etc???
