GOLD Corp Discount?

When I enter my company's Worldwide Corp. Account#, I see rates that are slighly lower than AAA rates. These rates are called GOLD 4 Rates, which I am assuming to be my corp rates.

I'm sure I'm being paranoid, but how can I ensure this rate is a 'qualifying' rate?
Also, what does GOLD 4 mean - is it one of the better corp rates out there, or one of the less generous ones?

Thanks,
BB

From the T & C:
"A Stay is qualified when paying Qualifying Room Rates, which include most business and leisure rates... Eligible Charges Worldwide include the following Qualifying Room Rates paid for hotel room nights: non-discounted rate, standard corporate rate, worldwide sales negotiated rate, national/regional/local government rate and specified leisure rates as confirmed by IHG's HOLIDEX® Plus reservation systems. Points will be awarded for Qualifying Room Rates booked through IHG central reservation offices, IHG web sites, travel agents or directly at the hotel. In addition, in North, South and Central America and the Caribbean, points may be collected on locally negotiated rates if these rates are discounted less than 30%. At Asia Pacific hotels, Qualifying Room Rates also include all locally negotiated rates".

Don't know how it compares to other GOLD rates, but my corporate rate is GOLD 1. So I guess there exists GOLD 2 and GOLD 3 as well??

Gold 1 and 4 typically automotive (tier 1 Gm and Ford rates) no problem getting points

FedRooms Rate

IL5FP
================== (From FedRooms.com) ==================
FedRooms offers specially negotiated Federal government hotel rates with FEMA certified hotels, simplifying hotel selections for Federal travelers. These rates are at or below per diem and often include value-added amenities unavailable through other government programs or websites, reducing travel costs for your government agency. Ask for FedRooms every time you travel.
================== ================== ==================

Unlike the gov rate, this rate may not give points. Must be Gov't or a Cost Reimbursable Contractor (CRC) to use this rate.

Bingo - you hit the nail on the head. From my recent experience, I will attest to the fact that Gold 4 earns points.

Smile Ivids

"IVIDS Travel Agents (Must carry an IATAN Card or Photo ID with a Letter of Authorization on agency letterhead that you are entitled to the discount upon check-in) "

This rate in Europe is available for airline employees too (they told me at the call center)
Used some times, but ZERO POINTS

Do you get asked for proof supporting the GOLD4 rate at checkin?

I've used the rate about 10 times now, and have not yet been asked for proof.
