Please post your Rewards Club Elite experiences (Archive Thread 2015)

I thought it might be useful to have a thread similar to the excellent Royal Ambassador experiences thread, but focusing on the Priority Club Elite experiences:

- What is your Priority Club status?
- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
- How are the rooms?
- How is the exec. lounge?
- What was good and what was bad?
- Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

(a template is provided in post 14 of this thread)

If you are an Gold or Platinum Ambassador, there is a dedicated thread for Ambassador Experiences. If you post a stay at an Intercontinental Hotel in this thread, I assume that you have no Ambassador Status

Please add the name of the hotel and the city, state for US / CDN, and country, since there are a few cities which are in many states / countries like: Kingston, Paris, Berlin, Portland, etc. to name a few.

Like I have done for the Royal Ambassador Experience Thread, I will beginning with 2013 start a list of all non IC properties for which the experiences of Priority Club Members have been shared.

Therefore I ask you to use the official name of the hotel, which makes it easier for me.

How to post
1. Put the name of the hotel in the title of the post and the thread

2. Use the following format by extracting it, ie by using "reply quoting", copying the content into memory, then backing out of "reply quoting" and then pasting the copied content into a new post. Each line is formatted so that you can paste in between them having deleted these opening comments:

What is your Priority Club status?

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

How are the rooms?

Classic Room Twin Skyline View (Advance Saver)

and which upgrade did you receive?
Superior Room (River view)

How are the rooms?
The room was very nice, located on the 11th floor with a gorgeous view. It had a very comfortable bed, desk, big LCD TV, nice bathroom with a bath.

How is the exec. lounge?
Didn't get access.
Club package was for purchase for 50EUR/room as the Club Lounge was closed 25/12-01/01. Club package consisted of diner a-la-carte, breakfast buffet and a limited lunch menu. Drinks are included!
We took the package as it was a really great deal.
In the case the lounge would be open, I wouldn't have received the lounge access. (unless again for purchase)

What was good and what was bad?
+ Comfortable room
+ Nice staff
+ Very good location
+ Good breakfast (for purchase @31EUR)
+ Club package a very good deal
- Club package was not an elite benefit.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Value for money: YES, YES, YES. The room was quite cheap and even with the Club package, the diner alone already paid off the room+package. So yes, I was quite happy!
Would I return: definitely. It's a very nice hotel!

-very satisfied

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
-booked lowest king room, upgraded to large room on executive floor

How are the rooms?
-spacious, nice balcony overlooking pool and Hillcrest hillside

How is the exec. lounge?
-closed on weekend but I received free breakfast in the restaurant instead

What was good?
-location (5 min away from everything in SD); recognition for status (parking, upgrade, breakfast, welcome snack), nice view from room, delightfully kitschy polynesian theme with garden and large pool, very good sushi restaurant with a selection of tiki drinks on site (even tiki drinks on room service menu)

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
-amazing room rate and incredible value, very courteous staff, will absolutely return

Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a Standard room on points, plus paid for Club (THB1000++ per day). Upgraded to Executive Club room

How are the rooms?
Good size, with large desk and armchair/footrest. Very comfortable, firm bed. Some noise from outside, to be expected in BKK

How is the exec. lounge?
Lounge is just about big enough when hotel is full (Christmas/New Year). At breakfast a reasonable spread and hot food by order. Staff struggled to keep up with demand, so there were times when we had to wait for juice, cereal to be replenished. Not a big issue though.

What was good and what was bad?
Good: Location and service level. Charm Thai restaurant is very good. Cafe G buffet can be a bit of a zoo.
Bad : Nothing really, if you don't expect IC service at an HI

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Yes, if I didn't have enough points for the IC. But 12 nights for THB 12,000++ is definitely worth it![/QUOTE]
