Arrived today night by car for a 6 nights reward stay. Got an upgrade to an nice executive room on 4th floor. Voucher for a drink at the bar (for one person in the room, the Spire member - not Amb as I understood - same as one week ago during my weekend stay at IC Hotel Dieu Marseille, alternatively 600 points).
Warm welcome, friendly, attentive and quick staff, check-in efficient, personally guided to room by a nice front desk lady, luggage came 1 min. after. I will report later more detailed. Need to recover a bit after an intensive 8 days discovery of Provence and Vaucluse and the vineyards here

4th floor seems recently soft renovated. New blue carpet in the hallway and new beige carpet and new curtains in the room. Same typical furniture as before. Around 25 sqm room plus corridor plus dressing room as entrance to bathroom with seperate shower. Pictures with Film Festival stars on the walls. Room cleaning and turndown service excellent.
Absolutely luxury "Riviera life" feeling everywhere in the hotel and on the beach. First class international guests and cars permanently on the scene. A lot of very attentive hotel staff permanently available at all entrances for service and safety. IMHO Carlton is still or again the clear no. 1 location in Cannes.

Back side view. But no problem, morning time we enjoy the breakfast which is fantastic - choice and service - on the Carlton Restaurant Croisette terrace - unbeatable location and ambience in Cannes. After we disvover the town or eventually make an excursion. Afternoon on super clean Carlton Beach with same exzellent service and one or two glasses of Rose wine. Evening time dinner in the restaurant or outside.

As you probably know at breakfast you can order omelette at no extra cost.
You have a nice restaurant called park 45 at the grand hotel.
If you want a beach restaurant, Miramar is very nice.
"Gaston gastounette' by the port is also lovely.
If you want to splurge, the restaurant of the Hyatt Martinez called "palme d'or" is very good but not cheap.

Re beach restaurant we will take a look at Miramar.
We took a look at the "Palme d´or" Menu today on the Grand Hyatt website and decided that we will not go there this time although the prices are lower compared to 2* Paris restaurants.
As well we took a look at the "Le Majestic Barriere" restaurant choices on the website. Finally we decided to book again the "Carlton Restaurant" terrace for dinner. The prices are more reasonable and the choices we liked more, plus the special "Carlton Riviera Life" ambience here when the restaurant fills up with all kind of business, holiday and local guests, French and international. We again have not been disappointed by cuisine and service.
We walked after dinner to "Le Majestic". The interiour of the hotel and its restaurants is quite stylish ("Paris chic"), and yes, could be a good choice for dinner. We will try tomorrow evening their "PLAY" Restaurant & Lounge which is open in July and August. They have sushi and similar dishes. As hotel (and Leading Hotel) it could be our no. 2 choice in Cannes but neither this property nor the Martinez can beat the Carlton overall IMHO.

We know from many stays the Deauville Royal and Normandy Barriere Hotels and Restaurants such as Le Ciro's and like the food there but indeed the Le Majestic dishes sound not exciting and more Italian than French. But we try this evening Sushi at PLAY Lounge and Restaurant at Le Majestic and I will send you a feedback.
And yes, the dinner at Carlton Restaurant we enjoyed very much, and the nights can be long in Cannes
Sunny greetings from Carlton Beach. Try the Carlton Cesars Salad with a glas of Rosé Wine next time when you are here. The service team is outstanding by the way, the best I experienced at any beach.
