IHG Having Random Unannounced Devaluations

Anyone else noticing something similar?

I originally thought it was a one-off but it's happening too frequently.

IC Tokyo Bay went from 35k to 50k overnight unannounced.
several HIXes in Shanghai went from 10k to 15k unannounced
HI Hangzhou went from 10k to 15k unannounced
IC Asiana Saigon went from 30k to 35k unannounced

These are just the ones I've noticed. This is quite concerning to me as IHG never outright said they were just going to devalue without notice.

It is not the first time, and it won't be the last.

Of course they are free to devalue, but doing it in this way is indeed far from transparent.

They have been doing it on and off for the last couple of years at least.

Last one I noticed was a couple of months ago where SBS London Stratford went from 35k to 40k. Bizarrely they left the HI which is below it at 35k
