Points and Cash
What are the standard tiers now?
I've seen the first level of points + cash showing $25 and $30 for a few hotels.
IE, there are some hotels which were previously for example
20k + $40 that are now 20k + $30
or
15k + $40 that are now 15k + $25.
Before I remember the first tier was always for $40 regardless?
Weirdly it does not show up the same levels for a colleague who is a non status member, but does for me, is the cash element now linked to your elite status?
I'm not complaining because it makes the Points + Cash trick even better value than before, but I wondered if the change is a temporary or permanent thing?

There are no standard tiers and cash amounts. They vary from hotel to hotel.
During sales, status recently will get you lower cash amounts for points + cash.
At one Paris, France Holiday Inn, for example, you can get 40,000 points for 20K + $99.
