So no, Africa isn't within the Asia Pacific region, but would fall within the eligibility of this promotion.

Good news. The 10,000 point completion bonus has now posted, around 6-weeks after my 3rd stay.
[The 'My Offer Status' page in my account has not updated though. It still shows the 3 stays but summarises only 2 stays and 14,000 points earned.]

"A stay is defined per IHG® Rewards Club Membership Terms and Conditions as one night or consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in/out."
If you have enough travel plans, 3 separate bookings may be more advisable. This could of course include consecutive nights but in different hotels, if swapping across is an option / possible.

Well aware of that, which was why I posted the apparent credit despite the rules. Not bothered if it gets audited, I have additional stays anyway before the promo finishes thanks to accelerate.
