"Combining Points & Cash allows you to reach Reward Nights without the wait. As a Spire Elite member, you’ll save 15% on Points & Cash bookings* made now until March 30th, 2017 and all stays before April 30th, 2017."
This is better than the 100% bonus points purchase offer that is expiring tonight. 60K + 60K free = $690 for that offer.
If you purchase 120K points from a hotel that offers 20K per night for purchase, that's $106.25 (normally $125) x 6 = $637.50.

Oh, I did not know this, just made a pointscash booking to qual my Accelerate and I got a rate deducted from 40$ to 34,$ for 5000points off cash.

FYI, points and cash DID NOT count for Q4 2016 Acccellerate. I had a 'buy points' and tried. Then I bought points straight up, and it qualified.

Unless you are buying points from a rate package (and not all of them qualify either), buying them don't qualify. Points.com purchases, plus points + cash, are both non qualifying.

This sounds like the same thing they did back in October. It's great for the higher point properties which have a 20K point-purchase option. ^
