Not to me.

Surprised no Anaheim properties were changed.

Places with many properties increasing:
SF Bay Area
NYC
Florida
London
Paris

Places with many properties decreasing:
China
India
Indonesia
Brazil

So Americans can earn tons of IHG points through this dream surprises thing, plus the credit card, and yet the whole world has to spend more on award stays. Doesn't sound very fair.

The other clear trend is a continuation from the past couple years:

Citi center hotels going up.

Hotels in distant suburbs going down.

Los Angeles goes up, Palmdale goes down.

Nashville goes up, Murfreesboro goes down.

Etc.

Well if you take a few very large and expensive cities like London, New York and Hong Kong, only one of the two IC's in each city is going up. So not quite the end of the world.

Can you book consecutive rewards nights at different times and ask for the two bookings to be linked?

Just deciding if to book a night now to save on the increase and the other night when I get the points coming my way

Program devaluations at IHG are a joke over the last couple of years! Put a fork in it....I'm done!

Sliced up the data by:
- Brand
- Country
- Brand/Country
- State (US only)

All -10,000 point changes are in China, and all are Holiday Inn Express.

Can't say this is surprising, the last few IHG promos have been too easy and too cheap to rack of massive amounts of points. As long as they don't get rid of those these increases don't hurt too badly.

That said, wow did New York and San Francisco get hit pretty hard by this.

Given the pile of easy points from Priceless Surprises I was expecting a much worse spring devaluation. As I don't frequent Manhattan or San Francisco I personally escaped devaluation this year.

The 40k Candlewood did give me an eyeroll though.
