I am a long-time RA, but I will lose the status for this time. The total will be 61-62 (inc. 32 nights at 12 ICs) by my membership year end which is the end of this month. I can not make 75 nights in a few weeks...

I don't know about Japan but i stay a lot in China (Singapore too) and ALWAYS get club & suite for RA.... even on reward nights! Must say that i normally just walk to the club for checkin even if i not know i get it.

So far for my last few stays in IC ANA Tokyo, no club was provided. They offered for me to purchase but I declined.

I spend about 50 nights a year in Tokyo. All 3 IC's there no longer give club to RA. Been this way for over a year if I remember correctly?

They offered paid access. I can not remember exactly but I think it was 200-300ish per person per day. You can choose either the club or the main restaurant for breakfast.

In Japan, only IC Osaka and IC Yokohama provide free club access officially to RA. For Crowne plaza, they don't provide free club access or breakfast, only provide discount price. For RA of Japan residents, Spire is not big advantage if IHG don't provide guaranteed club access or free breakfast.

I have gotten upgraded to a Club room with club access at the Crowne Plaza in Fukuoka, Japan. When the club rooms were sold out, I was given a regular room with club access.
