Points and cash are reward stays.

Is this promo that bad? Are the free nights not eligible at intercontinental?

Mine is 22 nights for 22k, up to 87.5k and sharing 58.5

Or deduct 25k from each total and get 2 free nights anywhere?
On top of that I get to gift gold? (Uhh,useless?)

Somehow ... I can't see 56 nights in four months; 36 would be REALLY pushing it!
do you mean 37 nights? 20 nights above your goal of 17 is 37 nights

I don't see any where that says Intercontinentals are excluded for the free night. I do however see the free nights are limited to hotels in the Americas

This was mine too! I like this promotion. No Saturday night stays. No specific credit card required. No booking a timeshare presentation. No brand specific requirements. Depending on what happens with the other programs (specifically Marriott) I may try to hit the 12 Nights Above Goal.

The promotion is not bad, especially for business travelers and those who spend a good deal of time at 1 property or more.

It is probably better than most of the other promotions that will be released this summer, but time will tell.

After all, hotel occupancies are up and this one provided pretty decent rewards if you got a reasonable offer -- it is just that it still may not fit one's stay patterns.

And, yes, I specifically noted, that the free night is good in the Americas (North/South/Central and likely Caribbean -- certainly those countries whose nationals can register for this promotion!!) -- and nowhere does it state that it is not good at Intercontinental hotels, indeed the rules refer to Intercontinental Hotel Group hotels -- which run the gamut from Intercontinental on down, so it would be pretty silly for the promotion to state the all encompassing family name of the hotels, but exclude the hotel brand with that exact moniker. Furthermore, I WOULD HAVE WISHED FOR FACTORY81 to have kept his ill-conceived musings to himself as he is just plain wrong as the rules clearly indicate.

Have we figured out whether bookings prior to April 21 registration will count? Or need to cancel & rebook?

Mine isn't actually bad at all compared to some of your goal nights. Mine is only 5 nights as a goal.

Stay 1 Night
For You: 500 points.
To Share: 500 points.

Goal: Stay 5 Nights
For You: 5,000 additional points.
To Share: 1,000 points.

3 Nights Above Goal
For You: 2,000 additional points.
To Share: 2,000 points.

6 Nights Above Goal
For You: 8,000 additional points.
To Share: Gold Elite Status.

10 Nights Above Goal
For You: 25,000 additional points or a free night.
To Share: 25,000 points or a free night.

20 Nights Above Goal
For You: 30,000 additional points.
To Share: 30,000 points.

I think that I got a toughie here, but I will give it a shot. Need to figure out whether reward stays count.
Edit: They do not count. Rules here.

Here it is:

55 nights, 100,500 points, plus (55*15*150 + 15* 500 = ) 130K ish, 230K Points. Not bad, but, darn...

(and I have 21 nights already reserved from now until June 15, so it is doable, but, darn...)

Yes, I was adding them individually, not realizing those were net cumulative totals.

Not mentioned, but PM to IHG Steve should settle it.

I think it should be fine.
