We'll have to split the difference - or both enroll in Remedial Maths 101

iFlip23 lists him/herself as IHG Gold so 10% bonus rather than 50% and the package booked has a 2000 point bonus -
the maths before June 30 would be: 2000 + 200 + 2000 = 4200
when he/she is staying : 307 x 10 x 1.1 + 2000 = 5377
A fair % increase from 4500 and even more from 4200 and just a 10% drop from 6000 unless I have my maths wrong and the added benefit of points for charges made to the room.
If the Aussie $ goes above parity (as some pundits are suggesting the day after the same pundits predict that it will fall below 80c) or collapses because Joe and Tony keep telling us how badly off we are then all bets are off.

This has already jumped to 50,000/night - shame.

Judging by the appearance when I drove past 10 days ago I would say December 2014 is about realistic.

Going to be a great addition when it opens

Never been to Sydney before and spending 3 nights at the Park Hyatt on points. For my last night which IC should I stay at in Jan? I could also stay at the Hilton but am leaning toward IC? Thanks.

The IC Sydney is a high rise - so great views of the harbour can be had, depending which floor and side. It is also downtown near the Opera House.

The IC Double Bay - not sure when it will open, Double Bay is a upmarket village type suburb while it is near the waters edge - the views may not be that special. The location is about 15 minutes from the CBD - lots of buses - and they all interchange at Edgecliff Railway station.

Great for upmarket boutiques and some nice places to eat, its where I would prefer to stay but I have lived in Sydney for many years, if I was a visitor I think I would be tempted to be closer in and with better harbour
views.

The hotel now appears to be opening on 11/15/14. Considering booking a stay for a one night stopover opening week.

Royal Hotels Australia Pty Ltd., the owners of the soon-to-open InterContinental Sydney Double Bay have signed off on a second restaurant, to be located on the hotel’s retail floor.

The new restaurant will exist alongside the Urban Purveyor Group's Saké Restaurant & Bar, and both venues are set to complement the hotel’s own bar and dining offer, led by executive chef Julien Pouteau.

The new hotel is scheduled to open in November, and includes 140 rooms and suites, as well as a rooftop pool and lounge, ballroom, 24-hour gym, concierge and Club InterContinental lounge and courtyard.

thinking of booking a BOGO. As RA one would assume would be upgraded to suite per T& C's, so would get club access.... but who knows? Wondering if should book a suite and get upgrade to better suite? questions, questions, questions
