You don't need. Visit the site and your offer will appear.

Pathetic. I would go out of my way not to stay at IHG if I got this offer. What is your usual stay pattern with them?

Mine is:

Stay a total of 15 nights and receive
12,400 POINTS
Stay at 5 different IHG® brands and receive
20,800 POINTS
Stay 7 Saturday nights and receive
12,000 POINTS
Complete a simple survey and receive
100 POINTS
Stay at 4 Holiday Inn® hotels and receive
6,400 POINTS
Book 2 stays through the Best Flexible Rate with Breakfast and receive
2,400 POINTS
Complete 5 of your offers and receive
21,000 POINTS

The bright spots are that I don't have any required Europe stays (I was there twice in mid-2013 and they included that last time when I have no reason to go over there!) and I only have to do 5 of 6 to get the bonus. Otherwise it's a bit more than I had to do in the fall, but I am getting a good bit more points.

Anyone care to speculate on whether applying for the IHG credit card now (with Raffles' 40k point link) will trigger the 20k big win 2014 target if approved before the new year.

(also - sorry for the 2nd post) my target specifies

"Get the Priority Club Rewards Visa, brought to you by IHG® Rewards Club, use it to book and pay for 1 stay and earn 20,000 points. "

If I were to do this, I'd want the black card, do we think the black card would trigger the offer?

(I emailed a couple of days ago but not had a reply yet, on both these points - wondered if anyone else had any info!)

Cheers

Best Flex Rate With Breakfast

Best Flex Rate With Breakfast
Found a decent rate at a hotel I want to stay at. The tab next to it is the 10% members discount rate. Do we think this will still count ? We can't test it until next year. I might just book the full rate and also the discount rate, then cancel one of them once we can get confirmation. Any flaws in this plan ?

Cheers,

UKD

It should count. It is BBF rate but with additional 10% discount for member in sales period. there is no wording prevent you to book and claim it.

best flexible rate with breafast

If you want certainty, here's a link:

https://www.ihg.com/hotels/us/en/glo...t-Default.html

I doubt that HIX's and Candlewood's (that have breakfast included in the rate) qualify.

More points but more nights than the last one...

15 nights for 12,400
5 brands for 20,800
1 Best Flex w/ BK 2,000
Survey for 100
3 HI's for 5,600
4 HIX for 6,400 and
47,000 bonus for all.

Fortunately, with a Spring Festival (1/31/14) trip, a March trip to the US (with a PHL-PEK MR inside it,) and an inexpensive HIX in Nantong I use for MR's, I'll easily do this, though the last one only required 9 nights to complete. 2013 total were 46 nights/5 brands, so similar proportion for this promo.

you should ignore all those but only do:
Stay 1 resort Get 6000pts
Stay 6 IC properties Get 16000pts
Survey 100pts

So 6 nights at different ICs including one resort will get you 22,100 points.

I would think they wouldn't, buy those brands are listed in the T&Cs for the breakfast promo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if you do a search around Santa Ana, CA on the link you provided for Jan 2 (1 night), even though the link says it's BestFlexWithBreakfast rate, it finds HIXs, Staybridge' and Candlewoods!!!

So where is all that certainty you're referring to?
