I think it was asked before, but no real definitive answer.

Do Priority Club Platinum members receive any benefits at the Palazzo?

I believe one previous poster mentioned that they got lucky and received an upgrade and other benefits, but may not have qualified for same as a Priority Club Platinum.

thanks

BOGOF?

There are some mentions in this thread of successful use of a BOGOF at the Palazzo. Can somebody confirm this? When I attempt to book online it shows me several available rooms and allows me to select one, but the final booking page indicates that the rate is not valid on Suites. All of the rooms indicated are suites...

Do all of the rooms work with the BOGO?

Thanks in advance...

I used a BOGO for a recent stay and it worked fine on a Bella Queen/Queen View suite when booking online.

I was hoping to get upgraded to a Prestige level Bella Suite as an RA but I got upgraded to a King Fontana. Since I needed 2 beds, I declined the upgrade. They said that Prestige level rooms must be paid for (or pay an additional $100 per night for the upgrade) and they will not upgrade to this level

I just completed a four night stay here and really felt a decent review had to be put here. Honestly I was getting worried before we stayed at the Palazzo after so many mixed or poor reviews. I'll post a detailed review and the normal quick statement in the RA section.

I'm a Royal Ambassador.

Two days before we were set to arrive the VIP desk called me to confirm my reservation and to ask if I would be needing any assistance once we arrived in Las Vegas. I had already made all my dinner and show reservations, so this wasn't needed, but it was a great touch. I was also informed that we had been upgraded from a Luxury View to a Fortuna View suite.

When we arrived, it was excellent ot be able to use the VIP lounge to check in. There was no line and more than enough attendants so I knew even during a rush there wouldn't be a wait. We were given a quick introduction on using the VIP lounge and my RA benefits were outlined as well.

The room was clean and the view was excellent. There are reviews out there about the rooms being dirty, but those people must be terribly nit-picky. Sure there was a water stain or two on the marble and tables, but the floors were clean and the bathroom was spotless. We blew through the $100 mini bar credit, but each day it was refilled. Housekeeping was excellent giving us all the towels we could ever need and thanking me for the tip each day. I was really amazed that we were never bothered by housekeeping even though we regularly slept in until 11am and by the time we got back to get ready for dinner the room was always perfectly made up.

As an RA we had access to the VIP lounge during our entire stay. There does not seem to be any real description of this out there, but it's actually quite nice. We were able to go and use the VIP desk for any questions, reservations or issues. The nicest part was the butler or two always available in the seating area next to the VIP desk. They were always attentive and could get us any drink we wanted. For the cost of just a couple bucks tip we could sit there and drink a whole bottle of Moet & Chandon while enjoying some fresh fruit and cheeses. We never had to wait for more than a minute or two to get our drinks.

Overall the stay at The Palazzo was amazing as an RA. So far it has been our best stay since I've become an RA and if we ever go back to Las Vegas it will be on the top of our list, especially if it's still an Intercontinental Alliance Resort.

I unfortunately had to cancel, but they called me as well. ^

I'm wondering if this is new--I was there in early September and they did not call in advance.

I'll guess when I go in a couple weeks, we'll see whether the front desk actually follows that policy or not. This was definitely something I was looking forward to at the Palazzo; waking up and making a free mimosa or free drinks before going out. Still should be an amazing time though.
At least RA's can still have a drink in the VIP Lounge; I wouldnt expect any sane organization to lose money on a policy like this anyhow, they are in the business of making money!

People need to quit abusing priviliges so the hotel doesn't revoke them so the rest of us can enjoy them down the line. COME ON MAN!

I'm getting ready to stay at the Palazzo later next month (Dec 2011). In preparation for my stay, I sent an e-mail to the management inquiring about in-room wi-fi and received the following response:

Thank you for contacting The Venetian and Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino. In regards to your email, we have a daily Resort Fee of $17.00 plus tax that will be assessed at the time of check-in. Resort fee includes local and toll-free calls, unlimited in-suite Internet access, daily newspaper, and access to Canyon Ranch fitness center for up to 2 guests per suite. Please feel free to view any or all of the offered accommodations at http://www.venetian.com/Accommodations.aspx?id=60 and http://www.palazzo.com/accommodations.aspx.

You will receive the following amenities as a Platinum Priority Club Rewards Member:

Complimentary upgrade (based upon availability at the time of check in)
Priority check in (invited guest check in)
Points balance access
Express check out
Late check out (2PM rather than 11AM)
Collect points / miles

I find this odd. Nowhere on the IC Palazzo website does it indicate the resort fee charge. No where in my reservation confirmation e-mail does it reveal this daily charge. Had I not written the hotel asking about the in-room wi-fi availability, I never would have known about this charge until (as their e-mail states) I'm standing at the check-in counter. I'm not complaining about the amount ($17 plus tax), but I do think this is a poor business practice not to put this information up front, easily found/read by guests. Am I wrong on this? Did I miss something obvious related to the daily use charges? What if I don't want the use of the spa, etc., is the fee optional?

Has anyone else been surprised by this?

This has been discussed before

It is hidden in the terms and conditions, not in the "grand total" given you on their web site
https://secure.venetian.com/Resnet/TCs/pnet_terms.pdf

Stays prior to January 1, 2012 will be subject to a Resort Fee of $17 per
night plus tax. This grants daily access to the complete fitness center
located inside the Canyon Ranch SpaClub® for up to two guests,
unlimited in-suite high-speed Internet access, unlimited local and toll-free
telephone calls and a daily newspaper. Stays after January 1, 2012 will
be subject to a $20 per night Resort Fee plus tax, which includes all of
the above amenities plus free boarding pass printing, one free regular
coffee at Café Presse, and a 2-for-1 well drink, house wine, or domestic
beer at La Scena, Oculus, Laguna, Fusion or Salute lounges. Must be 21.
Management reserves all rights.
This fee does not apply to Prestige Level suites
.

Thanks for the link. I don't have aproblem with the amount of the charge, or the charge itself. My complaint is that the information is not obvious and up front. It's almost like they're trying to hide this fact? Doesn't make sense to me; just include this as a line item while booking the room.

The resort fee seems to be a Vegas thing. Most, if not all, of the hotels charge one.
