I thought it might be useful to try to start a thread to index properties that offer the non-standard point bonus packages over 5K. There is a point bonus page at IHG for the standard ones but they only go up to 5K and I know that there are properties that offer higher packages.

Unfortunately I don't know of any page at IHG that indexes them and its largely 'hunt and peck' on the sites to find them.

One 'rule' request - if you do any deals with the local manager be cautious about posting specifics if you even think its going to be a T&C violation. For example - apparently doing a 'virtual' stay where you don't actually set foot on property may be a T&C violation per a posting discussion I had recently. I don't want to get anyone into trouble and that's possible as I'm guessing the recent quiz debacle may have raised FT's profile.

Thanks Raffles. Sorry to report that the link doesn't seem to reveal the ones I found in TX. It may be down to searching barring web crawl scripting skills.

On the 2 q's - sorry guys but that's why I started this thread - hoping to get a few more curious types to do some hunting and pecking. The only reliable way I've found so far is to do a hotel search on a weekend and then start clicking on the 'show packages' button (not the rates - these don't always show there) for each hotel. If you want to try but are in more of a hurry focus on HIs, CPs, and ICs - for some reason they seem to be the ones to offer these. (Maybe someone will prove me wrong and post an HIex). Then repeat on a weekend night.

Update - did a quick google and found an article at Boarding area that found me some more - adding them to the first post.

Au contraire - I found the HI near MOA has a 10K package. (click on packages button when searching from priorityclub.com for hotels near MSP).

I stand corrected. I believe that they got into the spirit of the promotion after I posted. I recently searched Seattle and was going to write them off as weel, I beleive that I will constrain myself to posting positive hits in the future.

I have stayed at Tyler's HI in Oakbrook two times under the promo. I'm waiting for the second stay to post now, but wanted to tell everybody that it's an A+ hotel. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Also -- I just ran across a Holiday Inn Select in Atlanta offering a 10k promo. They offer 10k for two nights and 10k for one night at two seperate rates. For the random nights I just checked, it was $124 for 10k for two nights, and $139 for 10k for one night.
