Piling works
My friend suggests that you request a villa far away from the piling works, near to the beach e.g.Emerald .
These are now the best choices, because you hear much less noise from the work going on.
But I'm not sure if the request of people staying on points is being fulfilled by the Hotel.
Just try it.

The flights are definitely cheaper when you are in French Polynesia, can't remember exactly by how much. When you open the air Tahiti site there it automatically takes you to the local site with cheaper prices. From the Us you automatically get the .com or .fr sites with the higher prices.
Finding a Vpn would be very difficult,no one seems to have succeeded at it yet.
If you are in Tahiti for a few days before moving on to the other islands I suppose you could hold off on booking flights until you are in Fp, but could be a gamble, your preferred dates/times of flights may be sold out etc

For IC Moorea, how easy is it to get upgraded to a OWB? I have IHG card, and will consider buying ambassador.

If you purchased through direct channel (IHG.COM, Hotel Direct) then Amb benefits can apply

It depends.. I know someone (who has Ambassador status) purchased a package via 3rd party (buy 3 nights get 2 free) and they got upgraded to an OWB. I believe they traveled in late November during Thanksgiving. So I guess it depends on who checks you in.

I have april 15, 2017 at the IC Thalasso. willing to trade etc
humbly requesting sept 8 or 10, 2017 if anyone wants to release.
thank you
does anyone know exactly what time and day each new reward night is released? does it vary or is it standardized?

Forgive me if I'm making an assumption .... but this is what is wrong. Don't book a night there unless you intend to use it. It is poor form and detestable to book a night at the Thalasso simply to try and barter it for another night. Whether it has been done before doesn't excuse this behavior. Don't book a night unless you plan to stay.
