The hotel is a typical business hotel in the upscale market. The rooms are renovated, ok-sized and modern.
The area was very popular many years ago. The location is good for shopping in the KaDeWe, visit Berliner Dom or going to Tiergarten. The tourist sights are some distance away. The walking distance to underground station "Zoologischer Garten" is about 15min.
The lounge is nice and is operated by friendly staff. The offerings are manifold and the food is very good.
The Spa is rather large and has a pool with a nice relaxing area, sauna and fitness center.

Berliner Dom? I believe you refer to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche. Berliner Dom is is Mitte.

Public Transport: Bus 200 stops in front of the hotel every 10 minutes and takes you directly to all the tourist sights going eastwards and to Bahnhof Zoo going westwards.

Furthermore: the closest subway station is Wittenbergplatz in front of the KaDeWe with U1, U2 and U3 plus several bus lines two blocks from the IC.

You are right. I was refering to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtnis-Kirche.
