The Information Desk is a flame-free forum where all FlyerTalkers can seek answers and advice without fear of unfriendly responses. Its primary purpose is to provide:
- New-member guidance — learn to use the site and get pointed to the right forum
- Cross-program advice — questions involving multiple programs or which don't seem to fit in any one forum
If you're a new FlyerTalk member, you might want to look around at some of the site's resources before you post. FlyerTalk is a huge place, and it can be a bit intimidating at first, so we we have created a Resources Thread and Wikipost
with links to help you learn your way around.
When visiting a thread for the first time, it's a good idea to see if there's a Wikipost — look for a Wikipost title bar at the top of every page in the thread, just above then"Post Reply" button. Wikiposts can be maximized or minimized by clicking the [+] or [-] button in the right hand corner of the title bar:
Wikiposts usually provide a summary of the material discussed in very long or complex threads. They often contain the newest, most accurate information to date on longstanding programs or situations. Some wikis contain an index of links, and possibly instructions on the best way of navigating and using the thread.
If you're still not sure where your question belongs, post it at the Information Desk
