I didn't see this posted so I apologize if it was.
Good news for those doing multiple trips to India. The govt is ending the 2 month restriction except for nationals from Afghanistan, China, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, Bangladesh, foreigners of Pakistan and Bangladesh origins and Stateless persons.
The GOI has realized they were unnecessarily sacrificing money that would have otherwise come India's way? One can only hope. Either way, it is a good change for a lot of people, including those in India who benefit from tourism revenue.

I haven't see anything on the website of the Swedish Embassy and they were unaware of this change when I called. As I will be in India this weekend before moving on to Sri Lanka, do I still need to register at FRRO?
UPDATE: Danish embassy confirmed in writing that a rentry prermit is no long needed. Good news indeed!
This is such great news! What about rulings or limitations in entering India on VOA (Visa On Arrival)? Is the Clause #5 about TVOA will also be adjusted?
