UA miles with Jet Airways?

Is Jet Air a full-fledged *A carrier these days, so I would get mileage credit on UA? Full-credit, 50%, or what?

Just as good, bad, worse or better than Air India for travel Delhi to Jaipur?

Jet Airways never was a Star Alliance partner. Air India is a Star Alliance carrier though.

Regardless, both will get you mileage credit on UA. The percentage will depend upon your ticket fare class.

One can get UA miles from other than a *A partner airline?! (Are we talking redeemable miles, elite qualifying ones, or both? It's the EQM/PQM that are of interest to me.)

Are AI and Jet Airways comparably satisfactory/unsatisfactory in basic ways? (Is there an AI lounge for international travelers in DEL?)

Yes, Jet is one of the non-alliance partners with United. Earnings on UA will depend upon the fare class as well as where you purchase the ticket from. Here's more info:

Both AI and 9W will be perfectly fine for such a ~ 1 hour long hop. Though, if I remember correctly, Jet operates a turboprop on this route, while AI flies an Airbus A319.

Yes, AI does have a domestic lounge at Delhi if you are connecting, but not too exciting. Has basic food but no tarmac views.

deovrat, thank you for the helpful responses. Do other *A carriers have DEL lounges for Golds flying international?

Oh yes, both Lufthansa and Singapore have their own lounges on international side, which allow Star Gold passengers with a guest.

Jet has better connectivity compared with AI on Del-Jai sector. Only the morning flight of Jet (ard 10am) is an ATR 72. Others are 737.

AI has a separate lounge at the domestic terminal at Delhi and Jet passengers use the Plaza Premium Lounge next to the AI lounge.
