Air India SBI Co-branded credit cards now!
https://www.sbicard.com/cards_for_yo..._0_131323.html
Amazing value proposition. Best card for earning miles in the market today, if and only if you are willing to fly Air India.
20000 miles initially and starting bonus of 20k if spends are above 3 Lakhs.
(5 Lakhs annual spend can get you 40k bonus whih is a one way ticket to New York apart from 4miles/Rs100, that's 60k miles per 5lakhs, that's nearly 12 miles/100)
Also you get 20miles/Rs 100 on Air Indua spends.
Probably this is the best airline rewards card in the world now. No wonder it is from a PSU bank.

looks like a winner to me.. SBI Cards is not strictly a Public sector thing.. GE capital are partners and run the show at SBI cards if I am not wrong..
however, all depends on how professionally SBI can manage the show and AI seems to be in a perennial limbo
so what do the experts say?

While i like the feature list as some of you highlighted, there seem to be a lot of "if's and &'s " that are confusing in the charges and fees section
Especially the fuel surcarge bit
"Maximum surcharge waiver of Rs. 250 per statement "....
Which basically means you cant fill more than 11K worth of fuel per statement date without incurring a 2.5% surcharge
There are other similar charges on the IRTC website etc...
Also do we know, whats with the Visa Lounge access program, is it limited to 2 free visits a quarter or any other number...
However full marks to the card for the earning potential

I am looking to get a travel card. Was thinking of Citi premier, but now am thinking of the Sbi airindia. I am looking to maximize miles for travel within India. Also currently silver with AI and prefer traveling on then because of child discount most of the times.
Any suggestion comparison between these two cards?

So I just posted a review of this card, and guess what, if you're spending 10L per annum on this card, you're getting miles for Rs. 7.69 per mile here

7.73 INR/mile if you add in the annual fee (@5k max)
and only 6.70 INR/mile if you also include the 20K signup bonus
very tempting... if foreign spend counts and AI manages to join an alliance this would be very useful for me
