Strange status showing against JP number in online view booking
So - I checked a family member's account today (Silver card holder) to check on a waitlist. I was surprised to see this under FF Number 128######(GLD/RBY) against his status. As a plat mine says (VIP). The full JP number is ofcourse showing but am not revealing it here for privacy reasons.
GLD/RBY to describe a silver member? All I can think of is Ruby status on Oneworld - is something happening behind the scenes we don't know of?

Ruby immediately made me think of OneWorld too. But in my opinion, it maybe more a case of wishful thinking on Jet's part, if not incompetence.
Changing status nomenclature before any public announcement of intent to join, or any indication of acceptance by an alliance, is bizarre.

I've seen this too on some tickets of friends. in one case a friend who is JP Gold showed a lower status than his girlfriend who had just enrolled for the program and she showed EXP/EMD ... some kind of system error I presume?

How can Jet get hold of another carrier's software. It's not like you can purchase pirated copies of Microsoft Office or Windows, that most PCs in India have installed om them. It would be theft, pure and simple.
