GoAir is probably the only low-cost carrier I'd fly domestic.. Excellent on-time performance, good food and very courteous staff.

They also have some good deals on the "GoBusiness" seats at times.

I thought Indigo is the most preferred airline (not by any survey but based on interactions with people)

thats what I thought as well before I flew G8 DEL-PAT-DEL, I figured out Indigo has a smaller fleet as compared to G8 and they work their a/c hard, also G8 had adverts boasting of their ontime performance? they claim they are no.1 in India ?? anyway found the service pretty decent for the price I paid. I think India has a huge market for domestic air travel, so the airlines have set them up well, as check out the number of ppl that travel by train everyday, it's amazing and apparently I read about G8, that MR Wadia intends to attract the train population onto the G8..

R u sure about this? I think G8 has less than 20 planes at present whereas Indigo has more than 30....don't know the exact number. They ordered about 100 A320s.

On the other hand, Indigo flies a whole lot more routes than G8 does.

GoAir does not fly to 3 major metros - CCU, HYD, MAA. It is a niche carrier in India. Cannot be compared to Indigo which is atleast 3 to 4 times bigger.
