Doing some research I came across this award chart:
http://www.jetairways.com/EN/IN/Uplo...flet300709.pdf
Is this chart of any use?

Can I pay the taxes over the phone when no Jet Airways office is close? The international partner award request form says:
Is the advance booking requirement of 14 working days enforced? If so, do saturdays count as working days?
Pay taxes, surcharges and fees in cash or through credit card, at the Jet Airways City Office or Airport Ticketing Counter. (If there is no Jet Airways City office or Airport ticketing counter present in your city then please contact the JetPrivilege Service Center. They will assist in issuing your Award ticket.)

[QUOTE=jasepl;18414404]I have recently had a couple of redemptions on CX in both Y and J, [QUOTE]
Mileage requirements seem quite reasonable .. for eg.. was checking for BKK - HKG and it needs only 25k for a r/t award.. EK wants 35k for the same one..
But big difference I guess would be on the additional taxes and fees.. In Ek its only about INR 1800 for a r/t award..
Any idea about award ticket fees / charges for flights between BKK - HKG ?
I am aware that we can get this info from JP service by sending them a redemption request, but am hoping somone here has this info.. even DEL / BOM - HKG redemptions price will give an indication..
Thanks,
A

BOM-HKG in Y:
** Using Jet points to fly Jet: 20,000 points plus Rs 8,000
** Using Jet points to fly Cathay: 25,000 points plus Rs 773
For the same route in J:
** Using Jet points to fly Jet: Not possible, but would have been 40,000 points plus Rs 11,000-ish
** Using Jet points to fly Cathay: 50,000 points plus Rs 893
And, honestly, it's not really worth redeeming on India-BKK or BKK-HKG, because tickets are typically available for very reasonable (cheap, even) fares. There may be exceptional times / circumstances, but you will get much more bang for your rupee elsewhere.

I was checking BKK - HKG for Dec 1st week.. R/t prices are about USD300 on Cathay for this sector at that time.. and I hv miles which can be used.. Personally I prefer to redeem those for tickets instead of upgrades so maybe will check this option out since if the indicative taxes are similar or lil more, I may hv two return tickets for less than USD 50 instead of USD 600 .. so basically 50k miles redemption for the price of USD ~ 550..hmmm

The miles requirement also seems different ( lesser !) that what is mentioned in the partner award leaflet shared by oliver below.. where this route mentions 35k mileage for return ticket on partner airlines..

Here's a screenshot of my JP statement:
Remember Jet redemptions on other airlines can't be changed or cancelled.
Also, there's Cathay, Thai, Sri Lankan, Bangkok Airways, Emirates, Air Asia, Ethiopian, Hong Kong Air, Pakistan, Kenya Airways, Air Asia and Royal Jordanian (and maybe more!) all flying between BKK and HKG, so it may be possible to get a pretty good fare.

That is odd. Maybe the leaflet is outdated? Or things have changed in the few months since I redeemed?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9000/5.0.0.822 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)
Or to Hong Kong too, albeit one-way and in Y, unless there's a desire to burn more points. Good value, because the cash component is almost negligible on CX.
Another option is to redeem on Jet itself, that way one can book on 30 Sep 12 and then use it anytime over the next year (for a JetFee of course).

Didn't realize that. So I can book say DEL-BOM and then do a date change when I need to fly it for a fee? How much would a fee be?
