Electronic "Thanks" Still Active at PBI

I flew out of Palm Beach International yesterday (January 16th) on AA and noticed as I walked by gate C8, the former Indy gate, that while the airline's physical sign had been pried from the podium -- you could still see the rectangular outline where it had been -- the electronic message board was still saying "Thank you for flying Independence Air".

Perhaps they just wanted to leave it there to say thanks to all those who flew them in the past.

Possibly someone took an unauthorized souvenir. Maybe a future eBay item? Sad, very sad!
