Independence Air Company Store

Well it looks like their company store's website is now out of business (http://www.quikey-c.com/buyi). When I try the website I get a page that says "The page cannot be found". Well, I guess it's no surprise. I'm just glad I ordered a lot of FlyI merchandise yesterday.

I flew MCO-SJU today, and I walked over to the FlyI counter and took a handful of luggage tags.. lol

Got there just in time... ordered a bunch of stuff last week just before my last flight. Spent more on stuff than ticket.

Seems strange -- you'd think demand for souveniers would be relatively high now.

I've got my original DH luggage tag on my laptop bag that I've had since my first flight right after they started. And we probably have a few employee things around the house somewhere...

FlyI Company Store Going-Out-Of-Business Sale

FlyI is selling the remnants from its company store today until 3 PM at IAD gate A6. There is a ton of stuff (shirts, blankets, posters, jackets, mouse pads, hats, etc.) at deeply discounted prices.

Ask nicely at the FlyI ticket counter? Or buy a refundable ticket (you'd probably want to do this on a carrier BESIDES FlyI...)

A branch of the Canadian governenment is taking back possession of DH's CRJ's. You could probably get a real one for cheap, instead of a model LOL.

I got lucky - I was in the A/B Concourses about 1pm and went over to A6 to see what was happening. The hats and bumper stickers were being given away (limit of 6 on the hats and all you could carry on the stickers). There were hundreds of DH crew and staff buying stuff, hugging-and-crying, taking pictures. Very emotional, obviously...
