I've only lost a few pounds so far, but the more noticeable impact is to my wallet. I was actually kinda surprised by how low the restaurant expenditures where on my CC statement last month!
And since there no more 500 bonus miles for $150 spend a month for AA elites starting this month, yet another reason for you to keep on slimming down!
(Me, though, it has no net effect on my weight, because I didn't each "richer" foods eating out than at home, I always chose iDine/RN locations which had healtheir meals to begin with. It helps that I'm semi-vegetarian to begin with, so only find a fraction of iDine/RN restaruants acceptable and only a fraction of the menus at most acceptable. But I live in an area where there's plenty of iDine/RN restaurants to choose from, and so enough even if I'm only using a small subset that doesn't increase my waistline.)

I just cashed in last year's Idining for four roundtrip MilesAAver tix to Kauai over Xmas, thank you very much. So, last year, while I wasn’t willing to trade bad and/or expensive food for miles, clearly I always considered Idine options first.
This new 500 mile/spend $25 bonus doesn’t even replace the expiring spend $150 get 500 miles monthly bonus. So, although I will do the minimum to get the maximum bonuses, this year I look first at what I want to eat, considering location, expense, cuisine, and healthy food, and see if Idine works....It's a beautiful thing.

Despite some nice bonuses from Idine, I am holding at over a stone less than when I started; three pounds from what I consider ideal, three more from what I weighed in high school…you know, 35 years ago. Of course, in them days it was muscle, but let's not go there.

Thanks for asking slom. Last week, at 177 lbs, I was two pounds from my target weight, three more from my dream weight, and then another four from my fantasy weight of 168. That said, I had the bright idea to train for a half marathon, and this week I so badly pulled a calf muscle (being over 50 sucks) that I took the entire week off training and spent the time eating my nine year old daughter’s birthday cake instead. Accordingly, I have not weighed myself this week, but will be back at it (running) the next.
Re Idine, with half the year gone and at a little over 50,000 miles earned, I am 40% off last year’s pace. Bad for travel; good for the gut. But, 100,000 miles earned in a year with such a bad earning environment seems pretty good to me.

The wife and I have done pretty well this year with all the bonuses the various carriers we collect on iDine have been giving. Though the most helpfull thing has been that we never actually pay for our meals with our regostered cards. We just buy $25 gift card refills M-W whenever we pass a place we like to eat at and are running low. So we never spend more than we feel we need to on food to reach $25 to get the survey bonus and we can just do our spending when the rewards are highest.
