When will AA release the Google Android app for this? It'd be totally awesome to just load it up from my phone and find the nearest AA miles earning RN restaurant via my phone's GPS.

Since it looks like there won't be an app for the BlackBerry that works with AA, I tried using the current one and found that if I opt to 'Continue Without Logging In', and doing a search, the results almost match exactly what you'd get if searching via the AA iDine site.
It would be great though if there was GPS-based AA app for the BlackBerry.

I use it as well for HH and it is a handy app for travelling but one problem I have is that it isn't as up to date as the website. I found out last week a place I eat lunch at sometimes by my office just became a member. It still doesn't show up on the app but it is on the RR website.

iphone app issues with iphone4

I've just upgraded to Iphone4 and the RN app is crashing. It works when you run it the first time. After that every time I try it the app starts and dies. Re-installing gives it another 'shot' but after the first use it becomes unuseable each time.

Not sure if this is iphone4 specific or iphoneOS4.

Anyone else try it on iphone4.

Exact same experience for me. Hopefully it will soon be fixed.

Though still anxious for AA to participate in the RN apps I took the advice of a previous poster and started using Hilton Dining for my searches.

Since I'm not a Hilton Dining member I can't further than the login page, but I still am able to see a list of all the nearby participating Hilton Dining restaurants which usually (100% so far) also corresponds to AA Dining participants.

Since I can't log in, I won't be able to have the app auto-load the phone's navigation app to provide me with directions to that address (though it would be cool if the RN app would allow one to do this without the need to log in), noting the restaurant's name and firing up Google Navigation and speaking the restaurant's name usually works just as fine. A bit of an extra step, but gotta make do with what I have until AA comes aboard.

Sorry to report that the update is a bust. Itunes pushed it but it still crashes. The change is that it no longer crashes on entry but it crashes when you try to do a search based on current location (probably the most useful feature of the app).

with the iphone app, i found that you have to use the map app first to make sure the phone knows your location, and then use the RN app.

i have found that if i haven't set my current location in maps, RN will crash or fail to run (100% repeatable). this was true before the OS update.

Hi there,
The issue appears to be when a user is logged in and searches by location--we have a new update going to the App Store now that will correct this. There's always a bit of a delay before the app becomes available--but it should be ready for download in about a week.

Thanks again for your feedback and for catching this!

Best regards,
