Madrid connection T4S-T4S - doable in an hour or so?
Hi all, looking for your collective wisdom.
I have a couple of upcoming flights that connect through T4S at Madrid, arriving from Casablanca and departing on to London. The connection time is 1'05". How simple is the process, and how reasonable is this transfer?
It's bookable on IB.com and I will be HBO.
Never connected in Madrid before, hence the question.

Very easy. Get off, walk up a series of ramps, walk along to the central area, left to Security, down, through duty free (where the lounge is) and around to the gates.
It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes all in all.
Is this an IB-BA connection or AT-BA?

Recently did IB-LA (the MAD-FRA leg) from T4 to T4S in 12 minutes.
Extremely lucky with the shuttle train being bang on time and no queues and passport control.
Pretty much out of breath but made it. Wouldn't want to miss the 787 on LA and being put on a IB A320 instead.
T4S-T4S in an hour is more than ok then, especially if on one ticket.

OP, if you were to miss it there are plenty of flights after the 15:45ish IB service - something like a 16:30 and a 17:05, normally, then a LGW flight and 3 BA flights.
Even easier, as you just have to walk about 1.1km in a more or less straight line to your next gate. Get off at the extreme South end of the building, show your passport, and walk all the way up to the high K gates. No security. Bags should be fine.

MAD is fine, if you were connecting through BCN then you usually just collect your bags on your way home as you pass back through.

Plenty of time, but wear comfortable walking shoes. You'll have to walk from one side of T4 to the other and it's quite long.

Well, if you are not in a hurry, you can also use the moving walkways for a fairly large part of that distance from one end of the terminal to the other - ac not withstanding this can be a quite plus in the typical July weather
