Missing Luggage
A friend of mine flew business class from Madrid to Mexico City last Wednesday and his luggage went missing.
They sent it on to him but it turned out to be the wrong bag.
I'm just wondering if there are any suggestions here for anyone he can call etc...as he is now stuck in a beach resort without his bags.
The hotel he is staying at have requested the luggage again and sent a form in....is there anything else he might do in the meantime?

If they delivered the wrong bag then my guess is the original will vanish without a trace since Iberia would have the luggage tag numbers wrong.
Unless it was a local screw up and the rightful owner of the wrong bag has received your friend's bag and a switcheroo can be arranged...
When BA lost my bag in Mexico over a decade ago it was never found. I suspect it was stolen (which is why I no longer put my BA Gold tags on luggage in case somebody thinks it might contain valuables) or taken by mistake at the arrival airport.
