Great to see that there is progress with the A346 retrofit program.

I'm due to fly on an Iberia A346 soon, I believe the refurb has also resulted in a re-numbering of the rows as the seat map was different when I checked today.

I suppose this now means a bit of uncertainty - i.e. if you book an exit row in Y and find they swap around the planes you could lose that? Any definitive way to know whether a flight is going to be new or old config, other than OLCI (assuming that is a definitive way to know!)....

I am looking at flying on a pretty empty IB A330 from JFK-MAD.

Looks empty enough that i could have my own row. Has anyone tried to sleep in coach using a full row? I might even buy more than one seat as their biz class cabin is completely sold out. Do the armrests in coach go up and stay up?

Anyone know of a good TR for the new long haul J on the A340? Looking at it for next year and want to know how it is...

I'm flying EZE-MAD in March 2014, and the seatmap on Iberia is showing 12 rows in business. Has anyone else seen that? I'd like to get an "inner" pair in the middle, with the two seats close together, and I thought from the photos I've seen that row 3 was like that, but from the seatmap it seems the even-number rows are the inner pairs.

The IFE is OK. Good looking screen. ~15-17in. But the selection of movies. TV shows is rather lame. Especially compared to that available in the new AA 77W.

The service is absolutely garbage. But nice plane!
Is the new J seat is the same as the EY, EK, TG business class seat or a different one? When I look at the photos they are all look the same with very slight differences!!!

The IB board doesn't seem to have an up-to-date seating guide for the A333's. So, with that in mind can anyone inform me of the "best" seats in the New Business Plus? We are three but not so fussed about being next to each other. I'm thinking the mini-cabin but had premonitions of noise from Y and FA traffic, but I imagine that means very little passenger traffic. What about meal choice, don't want to end up with pasta?

I was thinking 8A, 9C & 9D. Or 9H, 8J & 8L. Otherwise maybe 4A, 4D & 4H or the same at 6.

It seems IB is only operating the refurbished A340's on its South American routes. SHould i be worried about my MAD-JFK in mid october being on a non refurb?

MAD-JFK is operated by A330 only. Until October 2014 they get also 3 more A330s.

MAD-EZE

I will be flying MAD-EZE in late Jan. The late night flight is showing A340-600. It seems this is one of the common routes for the new upgraded biz class, is there any place to tell which plane you will be getting on this route, or just a game of chance at this point?
