well, of course my highly personal view on this and no claim to be objective in that sense, but let's just say that I find BA CW seating to be completely out of touch with current industry standards and especially their "sardine tin" 8 in a row configuration (only slightly alleviated by the herringbone design) is like it has fallen out of time and as such actually turned into a true disgrace.

Compared to the 1x2x1 seating that IB offers no further comments are necessary… I would perhaps consider flying BA CW for 300 less if it would be offered but under no circumstances for even more…

And yes, all IB seats in long-haul J are fully lie flat nowadays and I find the seat/bed quite a bit more comfortable than on BA CW (but again, that is usually a highly personal experience and preference)

from the seat map it seems that there is no bassinet seat on the A330-200 in business class,

Are bassinet available? if not, what is Iberia setup for infants (less than 6 months) in business class?

With the new configuration, our business class seats between JFK and Madrid have been moved to seats 1G and IE on 6252/6253. Are these seats "poor"seats? An older seating chart on Seat Guru has the 2 window seats in row 1 as "Poor"seats. If they are, we would opt for 3G and 3E.

Something of an odd question. Do the A333 bulkhead honeymoon seats in row 1 (1E/1G) have the same foot cubby space and pitch as the honeymoon seats in rows 3/5/7?

Flying MAD-ORD this month in Business. What are the WiFi options? Their website lists two different Wifi options, but crazy expensive for what you get.

Just flew the 340 JFK-MAD route in J. Can’t recall the Wi-Fi pricing exactly (although don’t think it was too bad) but they do provide you 4 MBs of free service for flying in biz. However, 4 MB lasted ~3 seconds after my emails downloaded, thus I guess more of a marketing campaign to get you to buy the service unless you just want to use it for iMessage or other minimal data options...

I think they have different service on the 330, but maybe I'm wrong.

The 332 has proper internet (I think you can download about 800 MB at least).

Is that plane on the MAD-ORD route? I can't tell.

If you can get to 800mb, that would be awesome. Last I remember the max was like 40MB for $30 or more.

The 332s tend to do PVG/NRT and some Caribbean/Central America destinations, occasionally MVD and GIG.

You can check the seatmap for your flight and we'll be able to figure it out. Note these things change easily.

A340-600 vs A330-200

Noticed in today's "Daily update from Airlineroute" that IB is changing LAX on some days from A330-200 to A340-600. Any implications for those of us in J?

None other than a larger cabin.

Hi All, I'm flying IB A340-600 in J next week from MAD to MEX and back, and I'm bit puzzled with the seating. At the moment I have reserved 3L for both direction. According to MMB, this seems to be "true" window seat with the console between the seat and aisle. However, when I checked fleet info on Iberia website here, it looks like 3L is actually closer to aisle?! So which one is accurate? Many thanks for your advise!

If it's an L seat (or an A seat), it's a "true" window seat. It would otherwise be C or J.

Most IB A340s have the seatmap that you link to, there are 1-2 kicking around that still don't have PY and therefore the entire J cabin is the "other way". You probably have one of these to MEX - I'm guessing there are 12 rows of Business rather than 9?
