do we already know how the configuration of the "new" A 340-600 will be?

Exists a seat-plan?

In the A 330-300 there are 36 seats in Business, should be some more in the A 340-600, as also the "old" A 340-300 had less than the A 340-600.

Thanks

This is useful information. Thank you. I figure when we fly from MAD to JFK on the 340/600 in April 2014, our chances of having the refurbished business class is about 1 in 2.

Madrid – New York JFK eff 31DEC13 IB6251/6252 operated by Airbus A330-300 only, replacing mix of A330-300/A340-300/A340-600

Hi,

Now booked on MIA-MAD in January and it is the new A330.

Any ideas as to the best seats for a couple? It is the late departure, so not worried about a window view. But do like to sleep.

Thanks,

346 now 342

My LAX-MAD flight in mid-October is now showing "342" instead of the original "346". So I take it that means my chances for "new" Business Plus have been reduced from low to zero. Our seats are still showing as 3J and 3L.

So what is Business Plus on a 342? Is it at least the 180-degree lie-flat or is it angled?

Iberia Plus longhaul offers lie flat seats; they were reconfigured from angled flat some time ago. Discussed in other threads.

Are any of the 340's being updated in Y?

We are looking at Flight IB6253 (MAD>JFK) on 9/22 and it lists a 340.

Yes, the A340-600's are being given a cabin refit to match the A330's (new seats, AVOD etc). However it will take a while for those to all come on stream.

Seatguru says that the 340-300 has 170 degree angled seats. No longer true?

Seatguru shows the old seat maps.

There are now only 4 rows in the -300 and 7 in the -600....all are lie flat.

Thanks. Mrs. nsx is flying Monday. The seat map showed 7 rows, so that must be a -600. I think she'll be impressed.

MAD - MIA A346; July 2014 new Business Plus?

Looking at booking an award flight on Iberia next July from MAD to MIA. It shows as a A346 with the old seating configuration so is there anyway to know if it will be upgraded to the new Business Plus?

Cheers

Hi all,

I am booked on MAD-LAX 6171 on September 4th. From what I have seen the equipment to LAX was mixed lately with a fair amount of A343s. The seat map shows 7 rows - but I understand that it still may change. Any way to know what aircraft can I expect? I am not very hopeful on new J seats, but still ...

Thanks!
